It is important that the competition feels fun and enables high participation. Focus on the fact that it is the team together that competes. We can clearly see that the teams that get everyone onboard are the ones that succeed best. This does not mean that everyone in the team has lots of points, but registration of activities takes place relatively frequently. Steps / walking give relatively good points. This is to create a positive feeling and that one can get points even with more low-intensity workouts. It is moving that is the most important thing not how.
Exercise and fitness are about a change in behavior many times. Which is challenging for most people. It can therefore be valuable for you as an employer to take the opportunity and think about the conditions that you create or can create for your employees regarding increased exercise. Is there an opportunity for training during working hours? Do you have a break / movement / gym? Do you have adjustable desks? Do you encourage walk-meetings? Do you have room for movement or mindfulness in the workplace?
Price is something you should not underestimate. A good price engages more people. We have had several companies that have offered vacation days as a price. A day that you can do what you want or a day that should be in the sign of health. The purpose of the day off in the sign of health is to encourage movement and recovery.
No matter how one twists and turns it, there will be some teams that run away and position themselves high on the top of the list. In order not to lose everyone who does not belong to a top team, we recommend that you also have individual goals / competitions. Every week or once at the end of the competition. What is meant by that is that you set a step or point goal. The people who achieve the goal are in a raffle for a price.
